Sita Ramam

Sita Ramam is a 2022 Indian Telugu-language period romance film written and directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema. The film stars Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur (in her Telugu debut), Rashmika Mandanna and Sumanth. Set in 1964, Lieutenant Ram, an orphan army officer serving at Kashmir border, gets anonymous love letters from Sita Mahalakshmi. Ram is on a mission to find Sita and propose his love.

Principal photography commenced in April 2021 and took place in Kashmir, Russia and Hyderabad. The film has music composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar, cinematography by P. S. Vinod and Shreyaas Krishna and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. It was released theatrically on 5 August 2022.

The film received critical acclaim for its screenplay, direction, performances (especially Thakur’s), cinematography, visuals & chemistry between lead actors. The film became highly successful at the box office.
